DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Saw Operator in a safe manner according to Cornerstone Building Brands rules and regulations
Should have exemplarily attendance record
Should be able to communicate in the English language
Observes material for dimensional and other quality issues
Assists Saw Operator with visual and gauge quality checks per work order
Moves material from walking tables to metal conveyor
Is proficient in the use of a tape measure
Assists Saw Operator with cut length measurements at required frequency to ensure that material is cut at correct length
Is proficient in basic mathematical skills
Places scrap into proper container
Follows Saw Operator instructions for proper safety procedures (placement of hands, ergonomics, etc.)
Wears proper PPE at all times
Ensures that material is placed into baskets in neat and orderly fashion per recipe or special care instructions
Ensures that load bars and cardboard strips are used properly
Assists Saw Operator to ensure that baskets are not overloaded
May at times be required to assist at Stretcher Operator Station or other work stations
Performs 5S and housekeeping duties at required frequencyQualifications
Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Able to convert fractions to decimals
Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
Capable of using computerized equipment
Will require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time
Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
