Our client operates a number of shops at its facility in Albany, Georgia. From fabricating and machining raw materials into parts, molding fiberglass components, welding subassemblies, and fuselages, assembly of components, small items, and large component paint, all the way up to the wing and aircraft assembly operations, a significant portion of the aircraft is manufactured in-house.

They are currently recruiting for a Program Manager in Albany, GA.

What Is In It For You

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000

A Day In The Life of a Program Manager

The position you are applying for is for you to organize and coordinate programs. You will provide strategic guidance to teams in ways that promote the company's culture. You will also oversee the progress of operations and manage internal and external interfaces. As the Program Manager, you should be an excellent leader and have experience in coordinating staff members of different disciplines to produce results promptly. You should also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics.

Essential Duties of The Program Manager

Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects

Decide on suitable strategies and objectives

Interface with customers and related contracts as required

Coordinate cross-project activities

Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff

Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities

Apply change, risk, and resource management

Assume responsibility for the program's people and vendors

Monitor and assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI

Resolve projects' higher scope issues

Be able to communicate up and down throughout all levels of the organization the plan, requirements, status, & goals of various programs

Ability to lead projects from initiation to closure

Devising new programs that support the organization's objectives

Requirements and Skills

Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position

Contract and customer management experience

Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

Excellent knowledge of change management principles

Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software

Outstanding leadership and organizational skills

Excellent communication skills

Excellent problem-solving ability

BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus

Preferred PMI Certification - PMP or CAPM
