Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination.
Role:
Manage multiple complex projects in a demanding environment
Deliver engineering concepts aligned with vehicle and chassis targets and assess full vehicle trade-offs.
Lead teams in solving complex packaging
Collaborate with engineering and studio to lead prototype hardware delivery
Lead CAD studies for vehicle variants and platform development
Contribute to technology roadmaps for future vehicles
Qualifications:
5+ years of automotive industry experience, focused on early vehicle development
Proven 3D CAD skills
Hands-on practical experience in prototype and production assembly processes
Experience in technology, system, and supplier selection
Knowledge of steering, brakes, structures, and vehicle dynamics principles
Project leadership and mentoring skills
Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as needed
Advantageous:
10+ years of automotive industry experience
Experience and proficiency with CATIA V5/V6
Knowledge of NVH principles
Knowledge of vehicle crash safety principles
Knowledge of body structures principles
Experience developing vehicle level attributes
Ability to run CAE analysis tools
Education:
BS/BEng or MS/MEng, or equivalent experience, in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. Base Pay Range (Annual)
$133,400—$183,480 USD
