SENIOR AWS DEV OPS ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our AWS environment, ensuring engineering excellence, and managing the infrastructure that supports our high-volume consumer applications. Your expertise will be vital in handling seasonally high traffic and scaling our systems effectively

Requirements:

- Must have experience with high-volume consumer apps at scale.

- Proficiency in AWS services such as ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, and Lambda.

- Extensive experience with mySQL, DynamoDB, and memCache (Redis).

- Strong query and database optimization skills. - Proficiency in Docker containers and Kubernetes.

- Proficient in CoffeeScript programming language and Node.js tech stacks.

- Expertise in Automation/DevOps principles and experience with operational tools.

- Familiarity with infrastructure and software deployment best practices using AWS CloudFormation and Jenkins.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog and Loggly. - Full software development lifecycle experience.

- Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and networking concepts.

- Experience building scalable infrastructure in AWS.

Responsibilities:

- Design and deploy scalable, highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS for our photo and video sharing apps' development and testing lifecycle.

- Focus on building Dockerized application components by integrating with AWS ECS.

- Optimize existing software in AWS to enhance performance.

- Refactor CoffeeScript to TypeScript. - Hands-on development of APIs and services.

- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.

- Implement security and data protection measures.

- Integrate data storage solutions.

Experience & Qualifications:

- 5+ years of CoffeeScript experience.

- 3+ years of Node.js and JavaScript experience.

- 7+ years of AWS DevOps experience.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

- Exceptional knowledge of frameworks and packages such as Express, Lodash, Knex, and Sequelize.

- Expertise in working with MySQL.

- Proficiency in microservices architecture, both with shared and individual databases.

- Solid understanding of working with RESTful services, AWS API Gateway, and AppSync/GraphQL.
