Description:

Assist the Finance Manager and Heads of Departments in auditing & identifying specified costs in order to ensure that the appropriate internal control procedures are in place and followed and that equipment and resources are employed in the most effective manner. All work is carried out in line with the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures.

Regular inspections on the conditions of refrigerated store rooms

Establishes cost control effective procedures to minimize wastage and spoilage cost.

Establishes proper specification and check for the quality of food and beverage purchases.

Alerts management of variances resulting from losses, spoilage, etc.

Conducts the actual counting, measuring, and weighing of inventories in the kitchen and bar areas on a monthly basis.

Responsible in creating cost information, which assist management price trends, creating solutions to problems affecting food and beverage purchases, cost deviations from the budget, volume of inventories, etc.

Analyzes costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans

Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities

Manages the preparation of the company’s budget

Laisse with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained

Corresponds with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken

Bank accounts and office petty cash are managed effectively and reconciliations are completed on a timely manner and in compliance with financial rules and procedures

Reviews all purchase order of food and beverage to reasonable prices, items specifications, availability, etc.

Checks daily inventory reports.

Effectively identifies and meets (internal or external) client/constituent needs

Smooth running of the office is facilitated by providing guidance and oversight on financial issues to staff and managers

Trains, and motivates accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks

Oversees of the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a graduate of Accounting, Financial Management, or any related course

Preferably with at least 1-2 years experience in the hotel industry and related field

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

Good problem-solving and time management skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.
