The Office of Information Technology (OIT), Infrastructure Services Division, is seeking an Information Technologist 3 to join the End Point Solutions Team. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) also provides the solutions, tools and processes for data analytics, digital identity, user experience, statewide strategic IT investments, privacy and security management, enterprise project management, and vendor management.
What You'll Do:
Desktop
Installs, maintains, configures, upgrades and/or administers hardware and or software independently in Virtual Desktop and workstation support, network administration, server administration, business continuity, and information security, telecommunication and network connectivity, and / or SAN administration (ie. Multiple technology domains) where technical work requires specific knowledge to evaluate, select, adapt, & modify standard pro-cedures:
•Devises new approaches to problems encountered
•Diagnoses, analyzes and resolves issues for customer(s)across assigned multiple technology domains
•Creates, organizes, files and maintain documentation
•Provides Tier II-III level customer support
•Conducts performance tuning for hardware and/or software
•Develops and maintains ad-hoc utilities or reports to auto-mate processes
Utilizes vendor supplied and third-party utilities for monitoring. Diagnoses, analyzes and resolves issues for customer(s) in as-signed single technology domain.
IT Hardware Inventory
Maintains IT hardware inventory for agency, requires thorough knowledge of inventory control, agency policies & procedures & state regulations on inventory control, salvage, and surplus disposal in order to maintain extensive agency-wide/statewide inventory such as IT hardware equipment for all devices and implement & enforce policies & procedures on inventory control.
