Position Overview:

Assistant Shift Leaders serve as the bridge between higher level leadership and team members.

They help deliver business goals by running and leading the opening of the restaurant.

They invest in team member growth and development, through on the job coaching and commendations.

Responsibilities include:

Operational Excellence

Lead Hospitality team through opening or closing daypart

Execute and uphold operational standards

Facilitate team member shift placement

Execute process improvements around food cost and speed of service

Input and initiate continuous improvement ideas that help business goals

Team Member Development

Be an active contributor of the hospitality leadership team

Develop team members through effective coaching and commendation

Model and support clear communication

Exemplify Brand Guardian

Execute and uphold Food Safety and Hospitality Standards

Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items

Read, understand and comply with all parts of the Team Member Handbook

Requirements

Minimum 18 years old

Previous kitchen/prep experience preferred

Previous leadership experience an asset

Team-oriented, friendly and honest

Hard-working and detail-oriented

Able to maintain composure in a quick-paced environment

Willing to learn and employ the qualities of a servant-leader

Able to motivate and encourage others to work together and give their best effort

Willing & able to invest in team member growth and development, through on the job coaching and commendations

Must be able to meet the physical demands which includes but is not limited to lifting 50 lbs and working up to 9 hours standing

Available to work opening (6a) or closing (to 11p) shifts and at least two Saturdays per month
