Vehicle Upfitting Technician

ABC Supply, the nation’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior building supplies, is looking for a Fleet Shop Technician to join the Beloit, WI Team.

Job summary:

Up fit trucks with bodies and attachments

Receive and unload incoming equipment

Fabricate and weld as directed to support truck production

Manufacture truck bodies

Ready trucks and equipment for delivery to ABC branches

Inspect and repair trucks and equipment returned to Fleet from storms

Summary of essential job responsibilities:

Follow safe work practices

Task organization and sequencing to complete the job in an efficient manner

Suggest improvements to equipment specification, layout, and design

Can work to meet production time guides

Minimum requirements:

Two years of truck equipment experience

Two Years of heavy truck repair

Hydraulic equipment repair experience

Possess a complete set of tools

Skills required:

Welding

Torch

Overhead crane operation

Forklift operation

CDL not required but a plus
