Land Surveyor Party Chief

Job Description

We are looking for a Survey Party Chief (Land Survey Party Chief) to join our team in Freeport, FL a relocation package is offered.

Location: Freeport, FL (relocation package offered).

Survey tasks for a site/road contractor to include:

· Use surveying methods to perform site/job layout

· Set clearing limits

· Set grade stakes

· Layout and stake locations of stormwater structures, pipes and underground utilities

· Layout and stake curbing, sidewalk, etc.

· Data collection for as-built records

· Travel to locations and select known reference points to determine the exact location of important features

· Establish fixed points for use in GPS machine control

· Establish TBMs for fixed structure construction

· Properly maintain surveying instruments to ensure accuracy

· Candidates should be proficient using Spectra Survey Pro, Topcon Pocket 3D, Topcon Magnet Field and equipment used to facilitate surveying of civil construction projects

· Compute measurements and interpret plans to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of roads and other structures

· Look for evidence of previous boundaries to determine where right of way lines and construction limits are located

· Record the results of surveying and verify the accuracy of onsite control points

· Knowledge of CAD software Autodesk C3D, Magnet V8 or 3D office applications is a plusCompany Description
