The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate with the public in a warm + friendly manner, and be hard-working and a motivated self-starter. In this position, the successful candidate will be the voice of and face of our clinic, as the first person to greet our patients. Our goal at Whitehorse Dental is to provide a positive experience for all of our patients, from start to finish, so the successful applicant will be paramount in this endeavor.
Our hours of operation are from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate must be able to work 8 hours, 5 days a week, for the closing shift (9:00am-5:00pm).
Tasks:
Schedule appointments using PracticeX dental software
Check-out patients and receive payment from them
Submit insurance claims and submit preauthorization for treatment forms for patients
Assist patients in maintaining their regular appointments (annual exam, professional teeth cleaning, planned treatment).
Shipping/Receiving laboratory cases
Communicating with visiting dental specialists' offices for patient referrals
Maintain patient confidentiality
Ensure reception and waiting areas are clean and welcoming at all times
Preparing day-end balance sheet

We also offer dental services to all employees and their families for all dental treatments (specialists not included). In addition, extended healthcare benefits are available after probationary period has passed.
