What You Get to Do:

Constructing and wall framing builds for various thematic elements and consumer event activations, providing a safe environment for guests and ambassadors

Select proper materials for jobs

Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements.

Teach fellow ambassadors how to use tools in carpentry shop safely and in accordance to company standards.

Assist with the fabrication, installation/strike and maintenance/repair of park scenery, props and decorative materials

Assist with the material inventory and ordering processes

Maintain cleanliness of work areas and vehicles

Perform other duties as assigned

What it Takes to Succeed:

Have a high school diploma or equivalent

At least 3 years experience in the carpentry trade or field

At least 3 years experience in wall framing

Experience with wall framing, cabinet building, concrete work, theatre style flats or equivalent.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic mathematical skills

Ability to train on and properly use protective gear

Ability to work from blueprints or in-depth sketches

Ability to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe conditions, including but not limited to: table saw, miter saw, band saw and associated blades.

Ability to climb a ladder and work from heights between 6 and 65 feet

Ability to stand, bend or kneel for long periods of time

Ability to reach, twist and turn with complete flexibility

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Availability to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours/needs; (i.e. able to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends and holidays)

What else is Important:

Possession of a valid state driver's license

Ability to drive a forklift or high reach

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying work environments including but not limited to dark/nighttime conditions, in/around water, in varying weather conditions.

Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor

Comfortable working around animals

Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
