The Cloud Security Engineer role is primarily responsible for engineering, implementing and operating security solutions in support of Deluxe’s cloud security strategy. The engineer will be a member of the Security Architecture and Engineering team and provide security expertise of Deluxe’s implementation of applications in AWS and other public cloud environments. This position works closely with the Cloud Security Architect. The engineer will focus on enabling business opportunities by ensuring the secure deployment of applications in public cloud environments.

The Cloud Security Engineer should be able to configure, implement and support cloud security controls, tools and procedures. Demonstrate and teach operational teams to utilize those controls and provide input for the organizations cloud strategy decisions.

Provide technical expertise and guidance on AWS/Azure security tools for Information Security teams within Deluxe. This may include decisions about how cybersecurity and vulnerability monitoring will be performed, using/integrating both cloud-native and third-party security tools and controls.

Support the configuration, testing, implementation and support of complex security solutions to meet security and regulatory requirements for cloud environments. Contributes to cloud security documentation including standards, specifications, runbooks and Security Reference Architectures.

Participate in technology evaluations, supporting business case development, test case definition, and vendor selection based on industry standard criteria.

Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of Deluxe stakeholders, including business owners, project managers, other engineers, auditors and Deluxe customers.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information security/assurance, computer science or related field

3 years of information security experience and experience configuring AWS security tools/services

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS or Azure certification, such as AWS certified security, CISSP and/or CCSP certifications

Demonstrated technical and information security knowledge and skills

Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies

Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to convey technical issues and material to a non-technical audience

Above average knowledge of Windows and Linux systems

Hands-on configuration, testing and support of AWS, Azure, or related security tools and services

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
