Job Description:

The BIW FIS Controls Specialist is responsible to ensure the Factory Information System is properly implemented by OEM’s following ME BIW and Controls and Robotics standards and specifications. The FIS Controls Specialist supports the ME organization with the development of Predictive Analytics Systems. The FIS Controls Specialist ensures that the FIS provided data is accurate and reliable in order to enable the usage of Predictive Analytics. The FIS Controls Specialist Plans and implements improvements within BIW control systems to improve process capability, system uptime, and reliability and Interfaces with the ICT group to ensure efficient operation of the BIW upper level systems. The FIS Controls Specialist provides technical support related to controls, networks, upper-level systems during the introduction of new models and for issue resolution during series production.

Basic Qualifications;

Demonstrated team leadership and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering OR in another technical discipline with [equivalent] engineering experience.

Minimum 2+ years of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Launch experience with an emphasis on Controls Engineering, IT Applications and Plant Floor Operations.

Proven Experience on plant Floor Systems, Error Proofing, Production Monitoring and Control (SCADA), Andon and Throughput Systems.

Problem solving skills specific to Information Technology, network management and system designs.

Experienced on Computer Programming Languages (Visual Basic, Python, SQL, HTML, JAVA,).

Strong and proficient on Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Word, Outlook and SQL).

Experienced on PLC Programing: Rockwell Logix, Siemens S7

Experienced on HMI Development: Factory Talk View, WinCC

Strong and proficient understanding of networking protocols such as Profinet, Profibus, Interbus as well as WAN / WLAN / LAN networks.

Strong and proficient understanding of Controls electrical design CAD software (ePlan /AutoCAD).

Knowledge of style tracking, Wi-Fi, RFID Technology related to plant floor automation.

Ability to coordinate the installation of tools and equipment for assembly plants.
