Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall efficient running of the lodge

Manage the various departments within the lodge – including financial, housekeeping, F&B, amenities, grounds

Assist with the HR function of the staff - including discipline, leave, wages, scheduling, staffing

Monitor and manage administration – stock control, cash, budgets

Financial control of budgets, cash handling, cash flow, forecasts

Monitoring of all respective costs

General maintenance which includes property, all amenities, equipment and vehicles

Managing and resolving of guest’s complaints as well as special requests

Submission of relevant reports and feedback

Events management

Ensure compliance of all standards at the required level for the lodge

Follow up on enquiries and potential sales

Co-ordination of projects for the lodge

Requirements

Grade 12

B Com financial degree is essential (an equivalent Diploma may be considered)

MUST HAVE at least 5 years in a Senior Management role in a lodge environment

Previous experience in a 5* establishment is preferred

Fully computer literate – MS Office

Experience with POS systems is essential

Good understanding of accounts and accounting principals

Passionate about people and have excellent customer interaction/care skills

Hands on approach to customers

All round skills and understanding related to the efficient running of a Lodge

Good leadership and staff interaction is a must

Must be professional and presentable

Valid driver’s license

South African citizens only
