To proactively and efficiently facilitate the business of the Group by efficiently reviewing, drafting and negotiating business contracts and providing legal advice to the Group, to ensure that the legal agreements, matters and advice in relation to the Companys dealings with external business partners are legal and comply with The Group policies and procedures in a manner which fully protects the businesses legal and commercial interests.
Identify, manage, mitigate, and provide recommendations against all associated legal risks and escalates same to the Senior Legal Advisor for assessment.
Assisting with the review, amendment and/or drafting of Group policies, procedures and templates across the business area functions within areas of responsibility to minimise legal risks.Requirements:
LLB Degree and Admitted as an Attorney
Matric
Minimum 5 years post-articles qualification in a law firm or corporate legal advising position, including corporate legal advising, managing relationships with business partners, exposure and experience in contract, company, and commercial law, and ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple complex tasks with extensive consistent experience in independent contract drafting and negotiation.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions would be an advantage.
Thorough knowledge of contracting management system
