• Overview:

I am seeking a dedicated and compassionate live-in caregiver. The ideal candidate will assist me in providing all activities of daily self-care activities for my husband who is confined to a bed with advanced Alzheimer’s. You will also help me to maintain a clean and orderly home, assist with cooking and perform light household duties. The ideal candidate will respond and collaborate positively to constructive criticism.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Daily self-care activities: Assist me in all activities of daily self-care activities, including minimum three times a day diaper changes, bathing, grooming, linen changes, feeding, changing clothes, skin care, bed exercises and interact with patient to provide emotional support.

• House Cleaning: Regular cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms and maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the home.

• Cooking Assistance: Help in meal preparation and planning; preparing pureed meals

• Light Household Work: Laundry, ironing, and organizing living spaces to ensure a comfortable home environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in helping with daily self-care activities, including diaper changes, bathing, grooming, linen changes, feeding, changing clothes, skin care, bed exercises and interacting with patient to provide emotional support;

• Ability to cook and perform household tasks efficiently;

• Friendly and patient demeanor;

• Good organizational and time management skills;

• Capable of working independently;

• Must be comfortable living in the household.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
