Do you enjoy risk management? How about data analytics? Combine the two areas and you will play an important role to mitigate risks as Suncor's Operational Risk Engineering Student!

We are looking for an engineering student to support Operational Risk Process implementation through data analytics collection and metrics stewardship across Suncor. You will also support and participate in Process Hazards Analysis to identify process hazards and suggest potential mitigations.

Minimum Requirements:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate chemical engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution

You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

Please attach your most recent transcripts with your application

Responsibilities:

Gather and review relevant process safety incidents and learnings

Prepare Process Safety Information packages

Support consequence analysis under guidance of P. Eng

Provide support during the PHA study sessions

Support PHA analytics process

Track, monitor, report and steward Operational Risk metrics

Location and other Key Details:

This is an 8, or 12-month work term starting in September 2024. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

Relocation assistance will be provided if required
