Automated Greenhouse Expert - Phenotyping & Data Analysis (all genders)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You implement ad hoc data analyses including visualization and POC models for image analysis

You drive evaluation and application of new tools and methodologies to improve trial quality, sensor-based plant phenotyping and data analysis

You support hands-on the execution of greenhouse experiments in an automated environment, including planning, application, trouble shooting of automation and evaluation of trials

Together with the Team, you drive adaption and development of automation and digitalization for increased efficiency and quality of trials and data

You partner with various engineering disciplines, customers, and vendors/suppliers to ensure successful day-to-day operation

WHO YOU ARE

Degree in Plant Science, Agriculture, Horticulture or similar, with either Master degree, Bachelor degree with technical education and several years of relevant experience

Experience in trial planning and data analysis, including experimental design, statistical analysis, and data visualization is a plus

Experience with both standard MS Office, computer and/or software systems used in scientific data analysis, with ability to quickly learn new software programs and tools like R, Python, Spotfire

Hands-on mentality with technical aptitude and interest to work practically in the greenhouse (experience with greenhouse automation)

Excellent organizational skills, highly developed problem-solving skills, and effective execution of operational strategies with a “can do” attitude

Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and high level of complexity very well, high degree of self-motivation, ownership, proactivity and ability to take/drive decisions

High degree of social competence, strong communication skills and stakeholder management as part of a team and across functions in a dynamic, highly collaborative work environment

Willingness to occasionally work on weekends to secure automation flow

Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
