Metal Fabricator / Welder

Job Description

Oregon Metal Fabrication is an established fabrication shop that specializes in industrial and commercial fabrication. We take pride in our work, and are continually innovating and improving our manufacturing and fabrication process. The shop is a fast pace work environment, and constantly growing. This is a fulltime position with the possibility of overtime depending on work load.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Extensive experience in not only welding, but every phase of metal fabrication

Attention to detail and ability to layout per provided prints

Pride in their work, seeking quality and precision

Ability to self-manage and self-correct procedures to ensure quality

A working knowledge of blueprint reading

General skills needed:

GMAW, FCAW, GTAW (optional)

Cutting operation experience (Oxy / Plasma)

Hand tools (grinder, drill, mag drill, etc.)

Machine operations - Iron worker, Shear, Etc.

Rigging and safe lifting strategies

Layout and fixture building for repeatable assembly

Determining optimal weld procedures

Quality check completed weldments prior to finishing

Blueprint reading

General math skills
