Job Opportunity: Capital Project Manager – Global Chemical Industry Leader

We are seeking a driven Capital Project Manager to lead comprehensive project management initiatives across our global operations in the chemical industry. This role focuses on overseeing the full spectrum of project activities, from initial scope development to the commissioning and startup of projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and are completed efficiently and economically.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring projects meet or exceed operational and strategic expectations.

Collaboratively refine project scopes with multi-disciplinary teams, accurately estimate costs, and secure funding approvals.

Independently make decisions on project methodologies and procedures.

Develop and manage detailed project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations across multiple disciplines.

Ensure all projects adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, including management of change processes and Process Safety Management requirements.

Act as the key point of contact among operations, maintenance, technical teams, and external contractors or suppliers.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in project engineering within heavy industrial or chemical processing industries.

Expertise in electrical systems or instrumentation is advantageous.

PMP certification and familiarity with stage-gated project processes are highly preferred.
