Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential to the financial health of our organization, requiring a meticulous individual capable of managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping or accounting, with the ability to multitask and maintain precision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process, ensuring accuracy in entries.

Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k contributions, and bank accounts at the end of each month.

Monitor financial transactions and reports; process accounts receivable and payable in a timely manner.

Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.

Maintain a comprehensive ledger to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

Coordinate with the accounting team to facilitate the preparation of monthly and yearly closings.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other accounting activities as necessary.

Ensure that all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.

Implement and maintain internal controls to improve and streamline accounting processes.

Provide administrative support to management when required.

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Proven bookkeeping experience, with 1-3 years in a bookkeeping role highly desirable.

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software; proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity.
