Role Overview:

The Fabrication Manager supervises a team of welders and fabricators who work on the necessary component parts of a piping fabrication that supports the organization’s production goals and objectives while meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

Directs entire fabrication production workflow.

Oversees interpretation of drawings/specifications.

Demonstrates understanding of core welding technologies and educates team.

Interfaces with various levels in the organization and shares information as required.

Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace.

Maintains accurate records and metrics.

Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.

Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.

Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops fabrication staff; manages schedules and workflow.

Requirements:

Personal integrity, leadership skills, and communications ability to inspire optimum performance among a diverse set of employees.

3+ years of fabrication supervision experience in the same or similar industry.

Must be a certified welder.

Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.

Ability to drive a forklift.

High School Diploma or College Degree preferred.

Expert level MS Office Suite and distribution-specific ERP systems skills.

Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug test where required.
