The Accounting Associate will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial statements. This individual will complete recurring monthly financial reporting deliverables, quarter-end tasks, and other projects as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Supports general accounting and internal controls.

Oversees portfolio of accounts and all activity associated, including, but not limited to, billings, receivables, and dispute resolution.

Ensures compliance and guidelines as well as various control and compliance procedures.

Identifies items for adjustments, provides data for the verification of internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy.

Processes corrections and cancellations within system application and ensures proper authorization.

Receives, logs, and posts financial data to manual and computerized systems.

Researches and resolves any issues with discrepancies.

Provides information to internal or external contacts on financial activities and records of moderate complexity.

Assures documents being processed are included in the appropriate accounting period or batch cycle.

Analyzes and audits various accounts of moderate complexity and volume.

Ability to prepare and present information to support decision making.

Identifies process improvement opportunities and provides solutions.

Ability to perform well in a demanding environment.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining diligence.

Knowledge of business, accounting, and company procedures.

People skills and ability to interact with others in a professional and diplomatic manner, both verbally and in writing.

Sound mathematical and analytical skills.

Strong working knowledge of PC-based software applications, including Microsoft Office.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred (not required).

Salary commensurate with years’ of experience, technical expertise and geographic location.

Salary range: $65,000 to $70,000.
