Who What Wear is looking to hire an Associate Fashion Editor to join its team. If you’re highly creative, performance-obsessed, and know how to execute innovative, conversion-oriented fashion and shopping stories, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing…

The ideal Associate Fashion Editor candidate will be well-versed in the fashion space and has previous experience pitching and writing top-performing content for a digital publication. They will be data driven and able to package insights into stories that align with Who What Wear’s voice. They have strong time-management skills to produce stories on a daily basis, are hungry to exceed personal goals, and have a sense of urgency to quickly turn an idea into a well-executed final product. They possess a compelling writing style, deeply understand the Who What Wear brand, and can generate innovative content ideas that delight readers and drive results.

Pitch and write daily fashion content for (url removed), spanning trend reports, shopping roundups from our top-performing retailers, styling guides, same-day celebrity and retailer news, and SEO content

Fulfill story output each week and nimbly respond to changing commission rates, story performance data, and pacing toward goals

Track analytics on story KPIs and meet audience and affiliate goals

Work closely with social and other distribution teams to optimize story performance

Build and maintain relationships with PR, brands, and industry experts to obtain exclusive insights, quotes, and embargoed news

Represent Who What Wear’s fashion team at press/brand events and desksides as needed

Keep a finger on the pulse of industry news, such as rising trends and designers, notable new arrivals, and fashion-meets-pop-culture moments

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

3–5+ years of experience writing fashion content for a digital publication

Excellent verbal and writing skills and strong visual sensibilities

Comprehensive knowledge of the fashion space

Ability to bring an innovative and creative approach to our traditionally top-performing story categories, as well as an innate desire to make decisions informed by data and performance

Open and quickly responsive to feedback in order to improve quality of work and performance

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work calmly under pressure, proactively communicate, and meet tight daily deadlines with a strong sense of accountability

Experience collaborating with various teams across business categories, such as distribution, art, sales, and data teams

General working knowledge of affiliate marketing, HTML, CMS, and SEO tools—easily able to study and track analytics to improve performance. Photoshop is a plus

Please note, the salary range for this position is $62,400–$65,000

This is a Hybrid role from our New York or Los Angeles offices, working three days from the office, two from home.
