Overview:
This person is responsible for setting retail prices and advertised prices. Review different reports and provide information to the field and management in the form of an analysis to assist with maximizing profit margins and revenues. Work with Purchasing and Operations on maintenance issues. Assist store managers and sales with all pricing activities. Conduct analysis in order to study customers, products, market trends, and other factors that could impact sales or the business.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the development and maintenance of business/pricing models
Assist stores with contractor pricing
Acquires and maintains accurate costs for all products and customer files
Training on pricing profitability
Set retail prices/requisition and price book maintenance/correct and update costing errors
Job quotes
Challenge margin by PMA category, seeking areas for improvement
Review P&L and daily flash to identify margin problems
Set advertised prices and perform store and customer specific analysis
Analyze data from various reports help determine best corrective action to adjust margins with the aim to maximize sales and gross margin
Perform market research on competitors, customers and products
Perform Ad hoc analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or at least 2 years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, technical procedures and /or government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
