Position Summary:

Acuren is recruiting for an IQA Inspector to support our operations Midland/Odessa. This is a Full-Time benefit eligible role which is currently scheduled to work 50 hours per week with more hours worked as available. Per diem available if GSA requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

Executes specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site in accordance with Company specifications and applicable Codes.

Write reports on supplied tablet to document fabrication/installation progress.

Perform visual inspection of welds.

Perform/witness dimensional checks on fabricated equipment.

Verify materials per associated MTR’s and Approved Manufacturer Lists.

Witness high-voltage vacation testing.

Witness hydrostatic testing of vessels and piping systems.

Witness tests of continuity, insulation resistance.

Witness NDT performed.

Review NDT documentation and radiographic film.

Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan and vendor QMS, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections.

Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan

Area of Operations include L48 assets for client. Based out of Midland/Osedda with travel <10% to shop locations other than Farmington. The majority of work will be performed in a shop environment with minimal travel as needed.

Travel is paid at GSA mileage rates for all activities from the assigned office of operation.

Per diem is paid at GSA rates for the area worked in for those that meet the GSA mileage requirements.

Requirements:

Willing and able to work a 50-hour work week, Monday through Friday.

Previous construction experience within the oil and gas industry.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a comparable role.

Working knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice and regulations/legislation relating to vessel and piping fabrication and installation. (ASME Sect VIII/ASME B31.3/ASME B31.8/ASME Sect V/ASME Sect IX/API 1104/AAMP)

Ability to utilize Client specifications during inspection process.

Working knowledge of ASNT testing in MT/PT/RT/UTT.

Strong in visual examination of welds/film interpretation.

Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package.

Ability to perform well under pressure.

Willing and able (with reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis.

Mileage traveled paid from office of operation to work site at GSA rates.

Per diem available if GSA requirements are met.

Daily truck allowance.
