Job Description

International Telecommunications Company is looking for a permanent Sr. Accounting Manager.

Relocation packages are available, must be open to relocating to Overland Park, KS

This is a direct hire, W2 position. No C2C or Sponsorship.

Years of Experience: 4-5 years experience, 2-3 years in Audit, 1-2 years in operations as a "Senior Accountant"

Must Haves: Audit background, Journal entry and reconciliation experience strong Excel skills (Vlook Up and Formulas) Accounting degree or Public Accounting experience, Good attitude, someone that is proactive

Nice to Haves: Revenue recognition experience would be nice, experience in ASC 606, CPA or Power BI

Day to Day Functions: Mainly focused on month end, journal entries, reconciliations, SOX controls, all month end items. First 8-10 days of the month candidate will be focused on month end closed items, the remainder of the month will be streamlining and process improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO IN YOUR ROLE

Participate in the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and performing variance analysis. May perform first level review of deliverables prepared by others.

Understand business drivers and their effect on financial results to ensure business changes are accurately reflected in the financial statements and explained in variance analysis.

Identify and communicate issues or areas for process improvements, drive towards resolution, and help implement best practices.

Maintain knowledge of current accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements to ensure proper application in T-Mobile’s close and financial reporting process.

Support the SOX control program.

Support quarterly and annual financial audits performed by internal and external auditors.

Effectively partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.

Responsible for other projects as assigned.Company Description
