Job Title: Workshop Mechanic

Location: Milton Keynes

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in mechanical engineering to transition into a hands-on role in our workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective solutions for repair.

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles/equipment to identify any potential problems.

Repair and replace defective parts/components using hand and power tools.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

Collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workshop.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a mechanical role is preferred.

Knowledge of automotive systems and components is advantageous.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
