Assistant Project Manager

Our client, a specialty design-build contractor, has an immediate Assistant Project Manager opening. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years experience managing geotechnical construction projects such as deep foundations, geostructural, ground improvement or earth retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop complete estimates for large, complex jobs.

Reviews all bid and contract documents and home office legal department opinions.

Conduct site investigation prior to forming a plan of operations to identify any problems or conditions of an unusual nature that may be present.

Consult with owners on various problems discovered during bid preparation, design, rates, schedules, etc

Manage schedule, budget, and manpower to meet and exceed deadlines and budgets

Create measurements to determine the strategic plan is met during all phases of construction

Review bid documents for value engineering and cost savings

QUALIFICATIONS

B.S in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

4+ years of project management experience in geotechnical construction such as deep foundations, geostructural, ground improvement or earth retention.

Positive relationship-building approach with clients and team

Track record of effective leadership and communication skills

Able to travel minimally as needed to support other projects in various regions

EIT or PE license, or soon to obtain either an EIT or PE license
