Data Engineer

We're a well-funded Startup that is using Ai and Automation to streamline and automate booking processes for travelers and corporate agencies. AMGiNE has disrupted the space by developing proprietary Ai capabilities to radically improve corporate agent's efficiency and greatly enhance the corporate traveler booking experience.

The Corporate Travel Industry is a $1.4 trillion dollar business and we are poised for tremendous growth as the proven leader in this space. We currently have signed agreements with many Corporate Travel Agencies, serving millions of travelers globally.

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Technology, in this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines and solutions, as well as using various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. To succeed in this position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources.

This is a 9 month fixed-term contract, with the potential to move to a permanent full-time role.

As a Data Engineer you will:

Build a data infrastructure required for optimal ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) of data from several data sources

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and solutions

Construct datasets that support our Customer Success team in serving clients

Work with Data Analysts to automate the creation of reports and dashboards to supply real-time data for decision-making

Assist stakeholders in addressing data-related technical issues and fulfill their data infrastructure needs

Implement data security and privacy measures to safeguard sensitive information

Diagnose and resolve issues that impact data processing, integrity, or performance

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in a technology company

Previous experience working with SQL and Python

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency using data visualization tools like PowerBI

Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools and business process modeling and diagram tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels and translate data into actionable insights

Exceptional attention to detail, structured approach to analysis and the ability to develop logical arguments

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of C#

Experience in the travel industry

Familiar using Confluence & Jira

Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
