Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled Fraud Data Analyst to protect our mobile gaming ecosystem. You'll be a vital asset, safeguarding our revenue, ensuring fair play, and driving out fraudulent activity. This role demands strong analytical skills, SQL mastery, and a proactive mindset to understand and combat the constantly evolving landscape of fraud.

Key Responsibilities

Fraud Data Analysis & Investigation: Analyze fraud reports, distinguish genuine fraud from legitimate player behavior, and leverage client-provided signals to refine our detection systems.

Data Preprocessing: Clean, transform, and manipulate datasets to prepare them for analysis.

Proactive Fraud Monitoring: Develop and maintain fraud monitoring protocols, proactively analyzing player data to uncover suspicious patterns.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales, user acquisition, operations to understand fraud concerns, share insights, and implement preventative measures.

Trend Analysis: Stay informed on mobile gaming fraud trends, adapting our detection strategies and preventative measures accordingly.

Reporting: Prepare clear reports on fraud activities, trends, and mitigation strategies for management and stakeholders.

Machine Learning Model Collaboration: Work closely with the ML model developer to optimize fraud detection models. Provide insights into good player data, redemption rate changes, usage patterns, and emerging fraud techniques to inform model training and refinement.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a fraud-related role, ideally within the mobile gaming industry.

SQL Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in SQL for data analysis and manipulation.

Analytical Skills: Proven ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and correlations within complex datasets.

Understanding of ML: Knowledge of machine learning principles and their application in fraud detection.

Problem-Solving Mindset: Creative problem solver with the drive to develop innovative solutions against fraud.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical findings clearly.

Desired

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Experience with mobile app analytics and user behavior tracking.
