Senior Wordrpess IT Specialist (Philippines)

Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Specialist with expertise in WordPress and WooCommerce to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and WooCommerce online stores. This role involves leading IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing advanced technical support to optimize our web presence and e-commerce operations.

Salary in PH: PHP 400 - PHP 500 per hour Salary in USD: $8 - $10 USD per hour

Work Schedule: 9 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday Sydney Australia time

Responsibilities:

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and WooCommerce platforms to meet business requirements and enhance user experience.

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects related to web development and e-commerce, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines.

Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to integrate functionalities that support SEO, content management, and digital marketing strategies.

Implement and maintain high-level security measures to protect websites and online stores against cyber threats.

Monitor website and e-commerce performance, conducting regular audits to identify and resolve issues affecting site speed, responsiveness, and overall health.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress, WooCommerce, and web development, recommending and implementing new tools and practices to drive efficiency and competitiveness.

Manage and optimize hosting environments, including server configuration, database management, and backups.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues, offering timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Liaise with external vendors and service providers, coordinating tasks and managing relationships to support project objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on WordPress and WooCommerce development and maintenance.

Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL, with a deep understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and customization techniques.

Experience in managing IT projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Strong knowledge of web security principles and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Familiarity with SEO principles, digital marketing tools, and content management strategies.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of management.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You are required to use Hubstaff for monitoring purposes, where the app will capture screenshots of your computer screen to verify your work activity.
