Strategic Planner

Strategic Planner Full-time – Ongoing Position Number: 4106 Location: Queanbeyan The Package: $80,425.28 - $88,868.00 gross per annum + 11% super.

(Evaluated as Grade 12 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full time– 35 hours per week.

Council is seeking an Urban and Regional Planner to join the Land-Use Planning Branch.

In this role you will: Assist with the delivery of key strategic planning documents and reports.

Plan for development outcomes that provide for the future needs of the community.

Work towards environmental protection standards.

Promote a standard of amenity that meets community expectations.

Ensure Council complies with legislative requirements relevant to land use planning.

We are looking for someone who: Possesses Tertiary Qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning and/or demonstrated relevant experience.

Can complete strategic land use planning projects/tasks to a high standard.

Demonstrates understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and other relevant legislation.
