Manager Tax - North America

Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for the management of income tax for the North American region (US and Canada).

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Manage U.S. and Canadian federal income tax compliance and reporting. This includes, but is not limited to:

Coordinating preparation of annual consolidated tax returns.

Manage outsourced and internal teams.

Assist with implementation of in-house compliance system.

Manage tracking U.S. and Canadian tax attributes.

Determination of estimated payment requirements.

Reconciliation of federal tax liability accounts.

Preparation and assistance with quarterly and annual tax provisions.

Preparation and monitoring of U.S. FIN 48 issues.

Exploring tax planning opportunities to minimize tax exposure.

Manage tax audits.

Manage tax authority correspondence.

Identify and manage incentive opportunities.

Review and manage state and local income tax returns.

Assist with tax analysis of M&A activity.

Assist with other special projects as requested by the Head of Tax.

Skills/Knowledge

Broad knowledge of US and/or International Tax.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.

CPA preferred.

Experience

10+ years of combined corporate tax experience in both industry and Big 4 public accounting preferred.
