Position: Event Coordinator

Location: Hong Kong

Business Unit: Golf events

Position Responsibility: Event management and implementation

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Act as Event Coordinator as assigned.

Work closely with respective tournament director, Event Project Manager and operation team for events management.

Support Project Manager and Event Manager in event overall planning & arrangements, Log review etc.

Proposal and other materials guidance (factsheets, player/Pro-am/hospitality guidelines), drafting and implementing plans.

Support managing event artwork and execution on-site.

Liaise with event suppliers.

Liaise with sanction bodies for event requirement.

Liaise with sponsors, client servicing.

Support government coordination / golf course communication regarding event.

Event implementation: on-site structures & signage set-up, hospitality management, security management, volunteer liaison, TV production team liaison & operation related works.

Fully understand clients’ products, technologies and business implications and collaborate with operation team to perfect deliver the request.

With strong organizational/professional skills to fulfill the events smoothly and successfully.

A basic working knowledge of simple budgets.

Key Skills:

Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin & Cantonese.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel).

Ability to multitask.

Have a positive and adaptable approach to problem solving.

Self-motivated, have excellent time management and organizational skills.

Great interpersonal skills

Good time management skills

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above, with experience in sporting event management, certain understanding of the golf industry or related field is preferred with the ability to work independently, provide solutions in a fast-paced, multi-national, multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.

Be Responsible for assigned operational, implementation and post-event tasks.

Experienced in all major aspects of event logistics preferred.

Driving licence is useful.

Possess strong understanding and communication skills, interpersonal coordination skills, and teamwork abilities, able to meet team needs and effectively manage suppliers.

Able to bear work pressure, adapt to overtime and business trips, and stay with the team before competitions.

Strong English & Mandarin communication, listening and speaking skills are preferred
