Job Description

Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Position reports to: Quality Control Manager

Position backed by: Quality Manager or Designated Department Foreman

Department: Quality

Job Summary:

Examine and inspect materials, finished parts, and fabricated products for defects and wear to ensure conformance with work orders, diagrams, blueprints and customer specifications completeness.

Essential Functions:

Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.

Examine and inspect materials, finished parts, and fabricated products for defects and wear to insure conformance to customer specifications

Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.

Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.

Mark items with details such as acceptance or rejection status.

Record inspection data and calibration data.

Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Conduct inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
