Job Description:

AREA MANAGER - DIRECT HIRE

We are looking to fill 3 night shift Area Manager positions. The shift is 6 p.m. -6 a.m.

50k-65k salary

Hours:

Night shift 6pm-6am

Compensation:

Starting salary is $50k-65k depending on experience.

Duties include:

Direct and coordinate activities throughout the plant

Support and drive plant wide Safety Programs.

Manage and facilitate the department schedules. plan, and performance

Work with Plant Safety Steering Committee and production managers to insure a safe work environment

Manage daily cost through good purchasing practices and material selection

Assist in maintaining an orderly and cost-effective Inventory

Work with plant departments to determine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.

Ensure required training is scheduled and performed

Ensure all Rules / Guidelines and policies are enforced

Monitor and ensure that production activities keep the plant clean, both inside and out to include building and grounds

Additional Responsibilities:

Attend Plant Safety Steering Committee Meetings

Work with Insurance inspectors and representatives on plant inspections

Performs other duties as required.

Required experience:

High School Diploma (Required)

Tire Cord and Carpet Manufacturing processes

Experience with plant Quality and Safety Systems

Worked in Union environment

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Good oral and written communication skills

Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and 14000 requirements

Good Knowledge of process controls and computer systems

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Vision, hearing, and speech are required. Manual dexterity is necessary. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled.
