Mechanical Project Engineer

My client is seeking a Project Engineer II to join their team and oversee the development and implementation of equipment and installations within capital projects for their manufacturing plants. You will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery in terms of Scope, Cost, Schedule, and communication. This is a temp to hire position.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting in the evaluation and development of capital packages

Developing initial designs and layouts, and expanding them into detailed plans

Supporting project engineers on assigned projects for safe, timely, and budget-friendly installations

Analyzing project requirements, performing technical calculations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Participating in the startup and commissioning of equipment

Ensuring efficient project transfer to the Operations team

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field

3+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing

Practical experience in piping system design and application

Ability to read engineering drawings and experience with various equipment installations

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project

Preferred qualifications include operational site and project execution experience.
