18 month renewable term contract. Potential to extend/option to hire.

Client: A major global corporation and a leader in their industry operating over 350 manufactruing facilities with annual revenue of $19 B and employing over 15,000.

Overview:

Work with stakeholders from all business units to analyze, define and document all necessary changes as well as to translate new requirements into processes, standards, and training-related materials for factory users for a manufacturing plant expansion. Serve as subject matter expert on operational processes and act as an effective coach for associates at all levels of the business.

Role:

Support the project from end to end with coaching and oversight of progress against key milestones and deliverables in alignment with project schedule such as development and implementation of key standard routines, TPM readiness and 5S.

Participate in identification of operational requirements and success criteria development.

Track and report on progress of ramp-up/start-up plans to ensure achievement of business objectives including line performance, safety measures and product qualification.

Plan, prepare and coordinate operational preparation, pre-commissioning/commissioning, qualification, verification, and start-up activities.

Perform commissioning, qualification, verification, and startup execution & reporting.

Consult and track progress against recruiting, staffing, and training.

Ensure operational safety is fully considered and escalate operational risks.

Collaborate with project team and operations to ensure line readiness and safety (machine risk assessments, site acceptance testing, HECP/LOTO, SHE and QA/food safety planning).

Ensure factory associates are trained and competent to standards prior to startup.

Complete a proactive and effective handover of the project to the operational team including proper documentation.

Qualifications:

7 – 10+ years experience in project management of plant expansion and/or plant startup operations.

Experienced in performing project management functions such as managing project planning, scope, schedules, timelines, budgets, risk, and resources.

Experienced perform commissioning, qualification, verification, and startup execution and reporting.

Experienced in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods highly desired.

PMP or equivalent Project Management Professional certification is a plus.
