Plans, directs, and coordinates integration design activities of assigned projects to ensure that output goals and/or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters by performing the following duties.
Manages the Integration design process to seek, receive, interpret and communicate all design changes from project customers
Advises Lead Electrical Designer (LED) of electrical design and costing changes throughout the design process
Communicates with project electrical and structural design staff to ensure weekly schedule is tracking according to projected
Collaborates with all project personnel to exchange technical advice and to resolve problems
Communicates directly with LEDs & customers as needed to refine and affirm the electrical job scope
Specifically responsible for the equipment to be integrated and acceptance test plan
Determines conduit sizes and wire fill requirements within NE Code and physical space restrictions for the integration of equipment
Collaborates directly with the LED for final drawing approval
Informs the LED of resources and equipment needed to meet production requirements
Collaborates with the Purchasing Department to ensure integration equipment and associated components are accurately provided and ordered in a timely manner
Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas
Performs customer supplied equipment checks upon receipt of CS equipment
Performs the Pre-Factory Acceptance Testing
Performs the Factory Acceptance Testing
Distributes the action item list upon completion of the FAT and advises on each issue listed.
Requirements
BA in Electrical Designer, Engineer, or
10 Years of Electrical Field Experience
4-5 Years in Low or Medium voltage electrical Installations
4-5 Years in Designing/Testing/Installing Low or Medium voltage electrical distribution, control or automation equipment
Must have 5 years working with Switchgear
Must have 3 year working in acceptance testing
SolidWorks experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Work in a collaborative environment, developing solutions as a team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to interface at all levels
Must be able to travel to all plants and worksites.
