As a Project Manager of Roadway/Highway Design, you will be responsible for implementing the project directives under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, Associate, or Principal and will focus on design, planning, and documentation tasks that contribute to the overall project

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of design and technical documents through all phases of projects.

Prepare, plan, and develop project design elements including, but not limited to Roadway and trail systems (geometry, vertical alignments, super-elevation, cross-sections & traffic management), stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulics computations, "wet" and "dry" utilities, and erosion & sediment control.

Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD using Carlson Design or MicroStation Open-Roads software.

Advance and lead planning studies, corridor evaluations, preliminary and final design plan production, and project permitting.

Remain current with Local, State, and Federal design standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Manage contract budget and billing.

Develop, track, and maintain project schedules to ensure client expectations are met.

Write change orders as necessary to address changes to scope and assist with tracking orders and work outside the scope.

Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between other project participants, including architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and clients

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

5+ years of experience in all phases of services in transportation planning, design, and management.

Experience in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
