Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School is seeking a qualified and experienced Business Office Manager to join our administrative team. The Business Office Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the school, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and a commitment to the mission and values of Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School.

The manager provides direction and guidance to the head of school and advisory board and is responsible directly to the head of school. This is a 12.0-month, exempt position that requires occasional evening and weekend hours.

Specific Duties:

Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain the fiscal integrity of the school.

Prepare and manage the annual budget, providing regular updates and financial reports to the head of school and board of advisors.

Oversee and prepare financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Oversee payroll and employee benefits on-boarding.

Assist the head of school in maintaining criteria and procedures of the school’s tuition assistance program(s), including processing for such assistance and recommendation of individual awards.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, including collection and supervision of distribution of all funds and maintaining record-keeping systems.

Identify and assess potential financial and operational risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.

Provide guidance on financial matters to other departments and staff.

Contribute to the development and execution of the school's strategic plan.

Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights for decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Experience in an educational or non-profit setting is highly desirable.

Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills.

Knowledge of fund accounting principles and practices.

Proven experience in optimizing operational processes.

Familiarity with facilities management and capital projects.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of organizational strategies.

Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
