Dunleavy Family Therapy, PLLC is a small, family owned business that specializes in working with adults, and their entire family systems, who are on the Autism Spectrum. We only work with adults, and 100% of our clients are neurodivergent.

Role Description

This is a full-time, contract position located in Kernersville, NC, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Mental Health Therapist at Dunleavy Family Therapy, PLLC, you will be responsible for providing mental health counseling to autistic adults and their family systems. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health goals. As part of a team of mental health professionals, you will also collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent license/certification

Experience in providing individual and group therapy, specifically in trauma, ADHD, and/or ASD adults

Interest in providing counseling and therapy to adult autistic populations with a range of mental health concerns

Familiarity with evidence-based treatments and interventions for a variety of mental health conditions, especially those co-occurring with autism.

Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development

Experience with tele-therapy and remote counseling is a plus

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines

Experience working with diverse populations

Strong organizational and time management skills

Proficiency in electronic health record systems

Desire to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment

Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
