The RDC Network Supply Chain Engineer – Process & Labor Management owns labor standards development, maintenance, and support of the Labor Management program for multiple HFT Regional Distribution Centers. Leads approximately two Labor Management Coordinators who manage all LM administrative tasks. Supports DC process design and process change. Works closely with all levels of operations leaders to lead compliance to the LM program and assist with process improvements using lean methodology. You serve as the first point of contact for all LM-related questions and troubleshooting. This role maintains a close relationship with the DC GM regarding all labor management and DC process topics. This position will conduct ad-hoc analysis of LM results and process compliance observations to support best-in-class LM program utilization. He/she will regularly interface with IT, Operations, Learning & Development, and Operations Excellence partners to drive process adherence and usage of the LM program. You will maintain strong cross-DC partnerships to ensure consistency across DC Network.

Duties and Responsibilities

Effectively lead a team of LM Coordinators

Assist with the development and validation of engineered labor standards (ELS)

Assist with performance-reporting systems to measure individual, department, facility, and supply chain productivity

Support coordinator, manager, and performance coach onboarding

Conduct training sessions for managers and hourly associates

Reviews and develops Standard Operating Procedures and the necessary training materials for associates and front-line management

Complete SOP audits to verify compliance with documented procedures and performance validation

Creates and maintains process flow diagrams for local DC processes

Analyze and collect data to evaluate processes for non-value-added activities and develop a plan to optimize

Support facility review of layout to identify opportunities for increased effectiveness, utilization, on-standard, and performance

Perform ROI analysis for capital improvement, safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects

Partner with operations leaders to establish operational work standards

Resolves problems and guides members of operations leadership teams

Supports technical and cultural integration of labor management system

Assist in the evaluation and design of distribution center operational processes and analysis and reporting, including estimates of ROI

Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Education Requirements

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar

Experience

2+ years experience as supply chain/distribution center process engineer

Knowledge with work measurement methodologies and tools including Time & Motion, MTM, MSD or MOST experience preferred

Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

Extensive knowledge working with Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Macros, and chart creation

Must be highly organized, and be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously· Knowledge of project management concepts

Possess a knowledge of financial and analytical concepts and strategies

Excel at working and in a team environment with ability to clearly communicate both verbally and written at various levels of management

Proficient with all aspects of Operations Management, techniques and principles

Experience in applying and teaching Lean or other Continuous Improvement methodologies

Knowledge of distribution software systems such as LMS, WMS, and WCS

Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access

AutoCAD experience a plus

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,500 – $128,300 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
