Bookkeeper

Responsibilities of Bookkeeper:

Process and maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable and payable transactions.

Monitor account balances, follow up on overdue payments, and handle customer inquiries promptly.

Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile any discrepancies in financial records.

Initiate collection efforts for delinquent accounts and maintain professional customer interactions.

Assist with general office operations, including managing office supplies and equipment.

Load data into the new ERP system (Epicor) and assist in reconciling insurance bills with payroll records.

Support HR with administrative tasks, payroll support, and record maintenance as needed.

Conduct daily cash account reconciliations and monitor weekly cash balances.

Manage weekly check runs, and handle tax-related duties including issuing 1099 forms.

Post monthly journal entries and assist with general ledger accounting, audit preparation, and reconciliations.

Preferred Experience of Bookkeeper:

2+ years of related experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with making collection calls.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Comfortable with making collection calls.

Experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor – Preferred but not necessary.

High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.Company Description
