HSE Manager

The HSE Manager at Brown and Root is responsible for overseeing the company's health, safety, and environmental programs and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

They work closely with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities: * Develop and Implement HSE Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.

* Training and Education: Coordinate and conduct employee training programs on health, safety, and environmental topics to ensure awareness and compliance.

* Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential hazards in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.

* Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports outlining causes and recommendations for prevention.

* Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in health, safety, and environmental regulations and ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and standards.

* Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to address potential incidents and minimize their impact.

* Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness throughout the organization, encouraging employees to take ownership of their own safety and the safety of others.

* Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including management, operations, and maintenance teams, to address HSE concerns and implement best practices.

Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) are often preferred.

* Several years of experience in a health, safety, or environmental role, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.

* Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on proactive risk management.

* Experience leading HSE programs and initiatives, including training, incident investigation, and emergency response planning.
