Job Summary

Under the supervision of the UCSF Fresno Office of Health Career Pathways (OHCP) Supervisor, the Program Development Coordinator will perform tasks related to maintaining the SJV MedBridge (California Medical Scholars Program) program learning management system (LMS), analyzing programming outcomes related to UCSF Fresno’s educational pathway programs, assist in developing improved advising practices focused on students’ successful graduation from college and career readiness. Additionally, provides support for reporting for funding deliverables to CMSP Central Office. We are seeking a seasoned, experienced professional in K-14 academic preparation, who can independently work with assigned institutions and organizations to plan and implement a wide range of academic preparation programming focused on community college students. The Program Development Coordinator will perform analysis and feedback data to aid with strategic planning and decision-making for the program's curricular implementation plan and accountability framework. This position will also provide additional support for SJV MedBridge programming endeavors and integral in decision making for future offerings and programming for learners through the assigned role.

Work in collaboration with OHCP staff including but not limited to other SJV MedBridge Academic Program Coordinators/Advising Counselors, Supervisor, Manager, Administrative staff and Director as well as stakeholders to ensure the completion of program endeavors and student retainment.

Develops learning management system (LMS) and implements level-appropriate collegegoing and health professional school workshops, curricula, materials and activities for learners.

Develops collaborative relationships with other college-going programs and K-14 higher education personnel that will enhance learner outcomes and experiences. Additionally, assists with developing improved advising practices focused on students’ successful graduation from college and career readiness

Serves on department, organization, and external committees, workgroups, and coordinating bodies. Assist with other department events, programming and duties as assigned in support of OHCP programs.

Produces program reports, collects student data, documents participant contacts and progress, and tracks academic progress of program participants.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $26.68 - $56.75 An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate, position requirements, AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology or related area, and / or equivalent experience / training.

Experience working with learners.

Knowledge of data collection, research and analysis techniques; up-to-date information on higher education policies issues with ability to assess their impact on program strategies.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with partners, stakeholders, and community contacts.

Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) and integration.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, active listening and time management with the ability to complete work in an accurate and timely manner with to established, short and competing deadlines.

Experience working with Microsoft Office and Google Suites (Classroom, Docs, Slides, etc.)

Understanding of rural and urban populations, first generation college student experiences and underserved communities to create rapport and working relationships with learners and stakeholders, while also providing insight to realistic expectations

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

Ideally an individual with a strong background in health pathway design and participation.
