The Team Lead is a high impact player/coach role responsible for training and developing new representatives whilst leading by example in demonstrating their own abilities in outbound prospecting. The ideal candidate brings a proven record of successful production in a SDR role, shows evident interest in leadership, and notable examples of initiative in a team environment.
The SDR Team Lead candidate must possess the ability to train and motivate new and existing Sales Development Representatives to meet and exceed quota, be able to closely . Must be eager to coach, teach, and monitor business metrics and individual KPIs, and report consistently and accurately back to the business on team performance and impact. Strong communication skills are a must. Regular productive and proactive communication, coordination, and collaboration with stakeholders and business partners in Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Human Resources, Marketing, and Revenue Operations is required.
The expectation is to provide meaningful feedback and coaching to each new or current member of the SDR team; help establish accountability to meeting professional goals and business commitments. Must be adept at outbound prospecting and utilising enablement tools in making cold calls, creating cadences and prospecting emails as well as being able to demonstrate proficiency in social selling and ultimately qualifying prospective customers through targeted outreach leveraging MRI’s value proposition, and then prove capable of explaining and teaching this to an employee with no prior sales experience. Candidate must possess strong work ethic and character, leading from the front, and ensuring actions are in line with MRI’s core values and policy.
This is a People Manager role and reports to the SDR Director.
Responsibilities:
Partner with SDR Management to coordinate training and mentoring responsibilities
Help in the training of Sale methodologies utilised by MRI
Understand the solutions/products applicable to yourself and your team
Shadow and train new and existing reps in all areas of outbound prospecting e.g Calls, Email, LinkedIn,
Use and train reps on Salesforce, Salesloft and Sales Navigator
Clearly follow MRI lead and opportunity management process demonstrating a proficiency in compiling and analysing data to report back to the business
Demonstrate an understanding of modern prospecting techniques in the software space
Own and consistently develop existing onboarding and training techniques
Partner with Sales Enablement to ensure the team are consistently in training across solution areas
Ensure you role out a sequence of 30-minute roleplay heavy training sessions for reps to develop skills and facilitate coaching/mentoring on best practise
Develop or orchestrate 6-month reinforcement training
Ensure you lead by example and showcase your ability to incorporate and demonstrate SDR best practise developing opportunities through the three main channels (Social Media, phone and email)
Job Requirements:
BA/BS in a business or technical related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 1 year sales experience
Demonstrated ability meeting quota
Demonstrated ability to successfully resolve situations that are broadly defined, complex, diverse, and occasionally unprecedented.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to identify new, creative ways to drive motivation and productivity
