As a Technical Outside Sales, you will be managing one existing Nuclear Power client in Ontario, upselling and crossing high-quality industrial valves and instruments to engineering teams and purchasing departments. You will be working on open RFQs, RFPs, and open market opportunities for that account as a trusted technical advisor. This position offers a base of $100,000 with commissions, a car allowance and a lot of other perks!

OFFICE LOCATION AND SALES TERRITORY:
Head office - BROSSARD, QUEBEC
Regional office - Burlington, Ontario
Territory - Ontario
The role is Hybrid/Outside sales, with 1-2 days per week in the Burlington office and the rest in the field
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
5-10 years of experience in a technical sales role
Relevant experience in the nuclear industry will be a plus
Experience in related fields like industrial HVAC, instrumentation or industrial filtration may also be considered
Experiences working/selling Industrial equipment/products
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand product specifications, applications, and industry codes/requirements
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills are required to serve as a "trusted advisor" to clients

Experience using a CRM

SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:
Individual order values can be in the range of $100k up to $1,000,000 an annual order envelope of $5 to $8 million
Long selling cycles average about 18 months

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:
Meet with supply chain managers, engineers, and section managers at customer sites to discuss open orders, issues, and opportunities.
Review open RFQs and RFPs from customers and support developing responses.
Work with engineers on sizing and selecting valves for customer applications using sizing programs.
Follow up on leads and stay engaged with project managers for new construction opportunities.
Spend 1-2 days per week in the office to work on quotes and orders, and support other team members
Learn all of the relevant QA/AC processes as they apply to orders for nuclear plant operators and be able to resolve any customer inspection issues that may arise.
OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:
Less than 10% - Occasionally - (2 - 3 times a year for Trade shows, Training, Client Visits, etc.)
SUPPORT & TRAINING:
2-3 months of training including 3-4 weeks of product training
Online, mentoring, working internally for a period of time
