We are seeking a dynamic Customer Service professional with strong business-to-business (B2B) client relationship management and comprehensive “order to cash” experience. Prior experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, or commercial baking is preferred. As a Customer Support Specialist, you will work directly with customers that purchase specialty flour blends and baking ingredients, including gluten-free mixes, ancient grains, oats, seeds, and healthy organic ingredient options. This person is the public “face of the organization”, performing traditional customer service duties including order entries, maintaining customer account records, preparing billing and shipping documentation, scheduling shipments, and being the critical liaison to resolve any delivery issues, quality problems, or pricing questions.

REMOTE Work Schedule: Flexibility to work remotely from your home office 2 days per week will be granted after the initial training program has been completed and mastery of the role has been demonstrated.

Our client is a leading supplier of edible seeds, ancient grains, sweet spices, customized grain blends and specialty whole grain flours in the U.S. They are experiencing significant growth as their ingredients are being incorporated into a wide range of grain-based foods to provide distinctive flavor and nutrition. Our client has expertise in helping their customers differentiate their brands with healthy and flavorful grain-based foods.

Qualifications Include:

BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience.

2-4 years of strong B2B Customer Service or Inside Sales experience in the food distribution, food manufacturing, or commercial baking industries.

Working knowledge of value-added ingredients and supply chain solutions within the food manufacturing, bakery, food distribution, food service markets, or flour/grain milling operations is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently, plan, and prioritize.

Competency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Working knowledge or exposure to computerized databases and centralized ERP systems, such MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.
